As 5FM's official station voice and Radio Imaging Specialist, Olsen is responsible for shaping the sonic identity that millions of young South Africans recognise instantly. His work spans concept development, scripting, sound design, recording, mixing and mastering, ensuring that every piece of 5FM imaging lands with precision, personality and power.
Before joining 5FM in 2011, Olsen built a formidable career as Station Producer and Lead Sound Engineer at prominent regional and community stations. He also produces custom imaging for international markets through Benztown Branding, creating high-impact audio for stations across the United States, adds the station.
"Winning Best Commercial Voiceover Performance for Radio means so much to me, and receiving the award was an incredibly emotional moment, especially after losing my mom just four months ago. I dedicated the award to her, knowing how much it would have meant to share that moment with her," Olsen says.
