As Cape Town's longest-running commercial radio station, Good Hope FM aims to bring the energy of the Kapstadt CUP straight to listeners with two live outside broadcasts from Green Point Park, says the station.
On Saturday, 3 October, The Hit 30 with Danilo Acquisto will be broadcast from 09:00 to 12:00, followed by The Matinee with Garth B from 12:00 to 15:00. Sunday, 4 October sees Cape Town's Original Sundaze with Irma G bringing the vibe between 09:00 to 12:00, followed by Cape Town Original Sundaze with Peadon Smith from 12:00 to 15:00.
The station says listeners can expect live match atmosphere, interviews with coaches, rising stars and club representatives and on-the-ground updates.
The Kapstadt CUP continues to grow as one of Africa'syouth football platforms, welcoming clubs such as Stellenbosch FC, AmaZulu FC, Hellenic FC, Mamelodi Sundowns FC and Antalyaspor JPM, and new entrants including Igugu Lesizwe (Zimbabwe), Teenagers FC and Ramblers FC (Namibia), Caledonians FC (Gqeberha), Wolves FC, Grassy Park United FC, Flamingos (KZN), Rovers FC (Gauteng) and more, says the station.
Matches will be hosted across Green Point Urban Park, Green Point Rugby Fields, Hartleyvale Stadium, Generation Sandown Institute and Green Point Athletics Stadium.
