Flow has also started providing marketing and communications services to urban renewal movement Jozi My Jozi, the South African Wind Energy Association (Sawea) and the University of the Witwatersrand's short-course arm, Wits Plus, says the agency.

"We are extremely proud to be doing substantial work for these prestigious clients," says Flow CEO Tara Turkington.

"Tourism, especially in South Africa, has always been close to our heart. Our first client, 21 years ago, was Maropeng, the official visitor centre for the Cradle of Humankind, which is a World Heritage Site in Gauteng, so we’re thrilled to welcome aha Hotels & Lodges and Few & Far Luvhondo to the Flow family," adds Turkington.

"We're just as chuffed to be working with Sawea, Jozi My Jozi and Wits Plus — all clients who are working to improve South Africa, Sawea by boosting the renewable power value chain; Jozi My Jozi by revitalising Johannesburg; and Wits Plus by helping working people access Wits' immense bank of world-class knowledge and expertise."

Flow's work for aha Hotels & Lodges is comprehensive, including an overall marketing strategy and individual marketing strategies for some of its many properties, content creation, social media management, and website development and management, says the agency.

Flow is providing communications services to Sawea for its Windaba Conference and Exhibition in Cape Town in October. The agency designed and developed a new website for Few & Far Luvhondo and is providing it with monthly social media management services.

This year Flow is celebrating 21 years of providing clients with a wide range of marketing and communications services, including website and app development, graphic design, social media, writing and content development and public relations. The company has won over 250 awards since 2005, including Best Large Public Relations Agency in South Africa three times at the PRISM Awards, adds the agency.

Flow developed a new website for Jozi My Jozi, and also provides public relations and social media services.

Wits Plus has contracted Flow to provide services including social media, public relations services and generative engine optimisation services — more commonly known as GEO — to ensure that its website content is written and formatted with artificial intelligence search tools and chatbots in mind so that they cite, quote or recommend its offerings, says the agency.

"I'm very excited by the clients that we've recently onboarded. Tourism plays such an important role in the South African economy, and it just feels like things are really bouncing back after the knock that was created by Covid," says Business Development Head of Flow, Roy Barford.

"Renewable energy is another one of Flow's key focus areas, so Windaba is a big opportunity for us. Many people have been inspired by the work of Jozi My Jozi and a rejuvenated Johannesburg could have big benefits for the rest of the country as well," he concludes.
